Mental Health in the Workplace💼

We are aware that personal well-being at work is the result of many factors, mostly influenced by the organisational culture, but since we can't always act on these aspects, we will focus on what we can do to feel better, regardless of our surroundings.
To do so, we will take into account our relationship with technology;
Here are ways in which technology could help 💁‍♀️ or not 🚫 in improving our overall wellbeing at work.

👎 Things that don't help:

- Always receiving notifications: decide which notifications you must receive and try to switch off the others.
Moreover, consider how important are the moments when you are 📴, don't check your emails in the evening or in rest days.
- Making pauses scrolling social media or news while you're working: these are not considered as pauses by our brains 🧠!
- Binge watching your favourite TV series in your rest days or in the evening is exactly as scrolling through social media or YouTube for hours.

👌Things that help:
- Check into your feelings: ask yourself how are you during the day and why.
- Keep a gratitude journal, it's proven that practicing gratitude improves happiness and life satisfaction, while decreasing depressive symptoms.
- Use technology to practice active rest outside work (listening to music 🎧, follow a training 🤸‍♀️ on gymnastic app...).
